At the same time that a course of Artificial Intelligence at Intel, we decided to begin a course of expert systems in C++/Qt. The primary objectives to implement this course is to teach the implementation of a mechanic expert system and improve that expert system to adding new technologies.
In the next article, we’ll show:
- What’s an expert system?
- What’s Qt?
- How to install Qt?
What’s an expert system?
In brief, an expert system is a computational system that emulate an expert human, and his capabilities to solve certain problem taking decisions based on certain rules. To give an example, of the use of a expert system, imagine that you’re driving your car in the highway and suddenly, it stops working. But fortunately, you have an app that ask you simple question to reach to the problem of your car, so you’re able to repair it by yourself, or have a notion when you send it to reparations.
To create an expert system in this course, we’re gonna use C++/Qt. Qt is a C++ general purpose multi platform framework. Qt expands the vision of C++ making user interfaces to: desktop, mobiles, embedded systems, web, and so on adding new features and facilities.
How to install Qt?
To install Qt we have to go to the official web page,
respond some questions,
and I recommend you to select a offline download,
you also have to create a user in Qt Account.
If you’re using Windows, the installation is straight forward. But when we’re using any Linux distribution, we have to download the file,
In the terminal type the command:
sudo chmod +x [and the name of the file]
./[name of the file]
We continue with the installation using the wizard and then, Qt is installed with the Qt Creator( that’s the IDE of Qt).
So that’s it for this video, I hope you enjoy it and I remind you to share with your friend of leave a comment if you have a question. Thank you.
